STORIES IN THE SKY- GenerationZ Education

Stories in the Sky: A New Way to Teach Science by Artifact Design

Education and technology, Stories in the Sky is the first learning module in the ZED Digital Marketspace. This program allows schools and museums to help children to become interested in STEM subjects.

Museums are a great place for kids to explore and learn, what makes the museum experience more engaging is when kids can get hands on. Stories in the Sky is an interactive museum experience that explores the myths and science of our 88 recognized constellations.

Story in the Sky uses beautifully designed animation, great sound-design, and awe-inspiring star facts to generate a sense of wonder in kids and adults alike. It is a user-driven experience, meaning users follow their interests wherever they may lead.

The console is one of the most important parts of the system- Zed is short for GenerationZ Education; designed specifically for science museums and the Zed Digital Makerspace program. It uses a high-definition interactive stretch monitor mounted on a futuristic console with touch-screen graphic interface.

It can be used by one, two, or three simultaneous users, and is built for all heights and ages. The system also makes use of a large non-interactive wall monitor that displays imagery that a room full of people can view.

Story in the sky Kickstarter campaign has started; we can support by funding, sharing one of their videos, share the Kickstarter campaign or even share this blog post.

If this campaign is successful, there are plans to create more STEM experiences for kids. Visit the Kickstarter for more information
