Most parents allow their children to use their apple devices so today we’re looking at setting up parental controls, by doing this you can prevent access to specific apps and features- including unauthorised content, apps or purchases on your iTunes account.
You may not be aware of parental controls since it is called restrictions; this setting can be used on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Below is a step by step guide to show you how to access and use restrictions
How to turn on Parental Controls
Step One
Go into settings on your device and tap general

Step Two
Scroll down to Restrictions and tap

Step Three
Once in restrictions you have many options, to start using this feature tap Enable Restrictions. Once tapped you need to set a four digit passcode- be sure you use a passcode that you won’t forget. You need this passcode to also be able to change your settings or to turn off the restrictions feature.

Another important reason why remembering your passcode is important is that if you forget it you’ll need to erase your device and set it up as a new one to remove restrictions passcode, restoring the device using backup won’t remove the passcode.- so please use a passcode you’ll remember.
Step Four
Now everything is set to green meaning active and allowed. Go through the list and see what you want to restrict. I made it so my little ones can’t remove or add apps- my middle child seems to have an extra 5 apps every time she uses my iPad!

Change your restrictions password
If you need to change the passcode, follow the steps above but tap disable restrictions- type in passcode then re-enable restrictions to add new passcode.
