Screen time is a huge part of everyday life, being a blogger means I use a computer every day- I still need to set an example to my children. Screen time isn’t a bad thing imo but I don’t feel right being on my computer all day every day.
I recently set up office hours for myself with breaks, making sure I spend an hour minimum outside a day. You may have noticed I’m not posting a new blog post everyday like I used to- this isn’t due to not enjoying blogging but due to needing to spend more time as a mum.
Since my middle child started school this year I have just one little one at home now- call me silly but I seriously thought this would give me more time! I’m enjoying my days, spending them with my last baby (well not quite a baby anymore- she’s 3).
She’s very sensory, my other 2 could stay playing on iPads or watching TV all day if I let them, but my youngest loves exploring the world and seeing how things work. This has made me evaluate my own screen time and it’s been such a positive experience.
Below are 5 of the Kidz B Kool families screen time rules- these are not guidelines!
1- Homework is to be done

2- No screens to be in the bedroom at night, you’re meant to be sleeping- devices are to be placed on charge in the kitchen

3- Your room is tidy and bed made

4- No screens at the dinner table, dinner is family time

5- You can earn online gaming time by doing your chores and helping the family out during the week
