Jennifer Lawrence donates $2 Million to her Hometown Hospital

Jennifer Lawrence home town of Louisville, Kentucky- Kosair Children’s Hospital has received a $2 million donation from the star after she visited patients with her family last year. The money will be used to establish the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Jennifer has set a challenge to the entire community to get behind this cause and help to match her gift by raising an additional $2 million- watch the video below of Jennifer’s message.

In the press release by Kosair Children’s Hospital, the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation Cardiac Intensive Care Unit will be a 14 bed unit featuring private rooms for children recovering from: various intensive heart procedures and space for family to stay to keep close to their child.
