Early last year China opened its first kids design experience: the Kids Museum of Glass. The idea and design for this museum was created by the founder and CEO of COORDINATION ASIA, Tilman Thürmer.
The Kids museum of glass is a former 2,000sqm industrial workshop that has been converted into a space that combines art, design, films, and games. Children will enjoy the interactive and educational environment.
Children aged 4-10 can learn about the basics of glass in a playful and fun way. The design is stunning marked by a kaleidoscopic patterns, natural materials and contrasting sleek blackened glass surfaces.
I really like how it has an edgy feel but it has a welcoming and playful vibe. Places such as the Kids Museum of Glass are perfect for kids to get hands on and learn in a fun environment. The museum doesn’t have a set structure to follow; it’s all about the children having an intuition based learning experience which allows them to explore the topic of glass independently.
The Kids Museum of Glass is not only a museum, it’s a playground, an art space, a second classroom and an event venue that brings multifunctional and interactive learning experience to children.
