A FUN WAY TO LEARN THE BASICS OF CODING

Codie is a fun Robotic toy that gets kids into the real world learning code, with the help of a coding app that’s visuals are outstanding. Codie has made it very simple with the downloadable app which will have your child ready to play and learn within minutes.
Technology is all around us and learning about how many users compared to makers is such a large gap, companies like Codie Lab are making it easy for children to learn programming at an early age.
Many schools all over the world are introducing coding into their curriculum, since technology is becoming more fundamental to our everyday lives and will be a huge asset to economies, getting children early on learning code will give countries a head start.

With coding tools for kids such as Codie that have a user interface (UI) easily understood by children makes the need to know complex formula not necessary.
What I really like about Codie is that it has been built to inspire kids of all age by having the App designed to provide continuous challenges by adding more complexity at appropriate times.
6-8Yrs old
Younger children can jump straight into playing with Codie; your child can control the robots movements and take Codie on an adventure.
8-1Oyr old
The App created for Codie is designed to be challenging to facilitate creativity while introducing the principles of coding.
10+yrs
Will see older kids get to know advanced programming structures and learn how to create elaborate programs.

The great thing about Codie is that it does what it promises: a fun robot toy that teaches kids the principals of computer coding. It introduces children at an early age to the building bricks of technology.
Learning code has many advantages for children in this world where technology is very much a part of everyday life by helping your child develop problem solving skills, analytical and logical thinking and empowers children to create.
The Robot

Codie is made up of two parts: the wooden robot and the intuitive application with the Codie programming language. Kids use the application to create programs which are then transferred and executed by the robot.
This sturdy robot is stuffed with equipment and sensors that make it responsive and fun. The body of Codie is carved out of high-quality wood with every single unit being hand-crafted in the Codie lab.
Codie comes fully assembled, just take it out of the box, and pair it with your smart phone via wireless Bluetooth connection and play.
Connects with your smart device via Bluetooth 4.0
Ultrasound distance sensors allow Codie to scan the environment and avoid obstacles near and far away
Gyroscope and accelerometer to make sure every surface is stable ground for Codie
Codie internal microphone detects sounds and depending on the program and can respond to it accordingly
The app

The Codie app makes it fun for children to learn algorithmic thinking. Codie has organized complex robotic code into colourful blocks children can arrange and connect with arrows showing the direction of execution. While having fun, they learn the basics of coding, using real programming patterns, including: if-else structures, loops, variables and subroutines.
Designed especially for touch screen devices, no need for a keyboard
The app organizes the code of robotics into blocks that children can easily arrange to make new programs
Graphical blocks represent real coding patterns
The simple and effortless interface makes programming easy and intuitive
Programs you create make full use of Codie embedded sensors
The app features a joystick mode for unrestricted play

Codie is more than a toy: it’s a creative learning tool that allows your child to understand coding in a fun and interactive way. I like how Codie grows with your child, as your child masters the basics the app gradually introduces more complex programming concepts.
