So who is Hideo Kojima? The evolution of Metal Gear

**Please note this blog post is for older audiences due to the main game series we are discussing “Metal Gear” a stealth action game**

With my Facebook feed blowing up with post of news articles about Hideo Kojima I think it’s the perfect time to tell my readers- who is Hideo Kojima?

Hideo Kojima is best known for his work on Metal Gear Solid, a very well known game which was under the studio KONAMI. He has now gone off on his own to launch his own studio called KOJIMA Productions; even though he founded Kojima Productions back in 2005 he was a vice president of Konami Digital Entertainment up until recently.

KOJIMA Productions first game is set to be a PS4 exclusive and why should we be excited about this?

Beside the point he is amazing, yes he’s gone independent but has in my opinion taken a great step by teaming up with the top selling gen console Sony and Sony looks very pleased with it to.

Kojima has stated that his first game will be the start of a new franchise, if you know his work you will know it will be nothing short of amazing. So this isn’t lucky Kojima to be making a Playstation 4 exclusive but very lucky Sony, Kojima has decided to do his first game and new franchise for the Playstation platform.

The losers in all this would be Konami and Microsoft. I’m not sure what has caused the split between Kojima and Konami, I wasn’t there but Forbes has a great article HERE. This is a huge loss for Konami, I really hope Konami pull through after all these years and stays true to itself. As for Microsoft, I don’t think they were even on Kojima’s radar.

We will be seeing quite a lot of news about Kojima for awhile, there hasn’t been a word that I’ve read regarding if he has started the game or expected time frame. No matter what it will be worth the wait.
