We Love Cupcakes

At the supermarket the other day and the girls asked if they could make these Green’s Minion cupcakes caramel and banana favour. I normally bake from scratch but thought why not, looks quick and easy.

All we needed was an egg, milk, butter and water- all items on hand. The pack includes the banana flavour icing, cake mix, patty pans and edible Minion discs.

So I pre-heated the oven and got the girls to put the ingredients into the mixer, the steps say to mix with a wooden spoon but this mumma got no time for that.... Ok I do have time but I love any excuse to use my Kogan Stand Mixer!

Mixing away and it seems that I can’t find the picture of the cupcakes before they went into the oven- the girls did a great job filling the patty pans too.

The mixture filled 12 patty pans perfectly

Fresh out of the oven, the girls were so great and waited patiently for them to completely cool.

Yummy icing time

The girls loved watching the icing turn white to yellow, they didn’t believe me when I said it would turn yellow.

The finished product, they didn’t last long but we made sure to keep a couple for K- Monster for when he got home from school. I think I will put a few packets of Green’s in the pantry for quick easy baking with the girls.
